Health Connect Workouts Disappearing

Quick Answer: If your Health Connect workouts briefly appear in Lose It! and then vanish from your log, force-closing and reopening the Lose It! app will trigger a fresh fetch. Your workout data remains safely stored in Health Connect while our engineering team works on a fix.

Understanding the Health Connect Sync Disruption

We are investigating an issue on Android devices where exercise entries synced through Health Connect (such as walks or workouts logged via Fitbit or Google Health) briefly display in Lose It! and then vanish from your daily log.

Here is what is happening behind the scenes:

  • What Happens: When a third-party app (like Fitbit or Google Health) syncs a workout to Health Connect, Lose It! initially reads and displays the workout along with its burned calories. However, if the source app sends a secondary update to Health Connect (such as adjusting calorie counts or updating completion status), Lose It! currently drops the entry from the log, causing exercise calories in your header to reset to 0.
  • Your Data is Safe: The exercise records remain fully intact inside Health Connect and your primary tracking app (e.g., Fitbit or Google Health). No workout data has been lost or permanently deleted.

Our engineering team is actively working on a fix to ensure updated workout payloads refresh existing entries smoothly instead of removing them.
